Rungline is the software at rungline.com. This policy describes what we can and cannot see. The product-voice companion is how we handle your data. Last updated 11 September 2026.

What we do not collect
On the core path we do not receive your intake, statements, plan, or vault. Parsing and allocation run in your browser. Shared plans live in the URL fragment, which the browser does not send to us. Encrypted vault files go wherever you put them — a download, a folder your own cloud client syncs, or your Drive / Dropbox / OneDrive / WebDAV.
What hosting can see
Ordinary page requests: IP address, user agent, the path you asked for, and when. We do not use that to rebuild your finances. Logs are retained only as long as the host keeps them for operations and abuse.
Payments
Unlocking the Business compiler is guest Stripe Checkout for the named tax year. Stripe processes the card and the email you enter there. We use that email for the receipt and to restore the unlock cookie — not marketing, and not a Rungline account. We do not keep a first-party user table. After a paid session we set a signed httpOnly cookie listing paid tax years. Browsers drop that cookie after about 400 days; receipt restore re-issues it. The cookie is not your numbers. Statement bytes still never leave this device. Year archives stay on this device, including in a vault file you save.
Optional operators
If an operator enables Sentry or PostHog, those vendors receive scrubbed events without money-shaped keys. Event names are allowlisted. PostHog does not identify you, autocapture, or record sessions. The product works with both blocked. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your financial figures to train a model.
Cookies
The only first-party cookie we set is the self-employed entitlement for paid tax years, and only after you pay, restore a receipt, or a test unlock. Browsers keep it about 400 days; restore puts it back. Everything else that remembers you lives in this browser's storage, under your control.
Children
Rungline is for adults. Do not use it if you are under 18.
Your choices
Clear this origin to delete local data. A vault passphrase cannot be recovered. To ask a question or request deletion of anything we actually hold (payment metadata, hosting logs), write to hello@rungline.com.
